Humankind Zine is dedicated to the exploration and celebration of what it truly means to be human through different mediums of art.
By providing a platform for creatives, we strive to have viewers and artists connect with each other to form a sense of unity and community. Our goal is to confront the unimaginable, deliberate the unintentional, and elevate the voices of those typically unheard.
Greetings from the Founder & Editor in Chief
Welcome to Humankind Zine! My name is Libbe Phan, and I am the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Humankind Zine. At Humankind, we believe that storytelling is a powerful tool that can help us connect and understand one another. Some of my favorite creators and channels that emphasize this include Humans of New York, Jubilee, The Cut, and TED Talks. I wanted to create something that fused human authenticity and the arts, and I was inspired by other independent groups and individuals that I saw online. The idea of creating a digital zine had been with me for quite some time, but it was finally executed during the summer of 2019 and released to the public in February 2020.
My hope for Humankind Zine is to bring people from different corners of the world together as we explore humanity, connect, and create art. Through our work, we hope to foster a deeper understanding and empathy for one another. We invite you to join our community and be a part of this meaningful journey.
